How To Reset Skullcandy Wireless Earbuds? Step By Step

Skullcandy earbuds are not hard to reset. But before doing that, you should know when it is a good idea to do so. I reset my earbuds whenever there’s an inexplicable connection problem. Here’s how to reset your Skullcandy wireless earbuds just the way I do:

  • Make sure your earbuds are not paired with any other device.
  • If they’re paired, remove the pairing, and proceed. How to do that? Simply turn them off.
  • Power off your earbuds by pressing the power button.
  • After that, hold the power button plus the volume up for about 5 to 10 seconds until they’re turned on again.
  • When they turn on again, they’ll be reset anew to be paired again.

That’s the general way of resetting your earbuds. There are at least 5 different types of Skullcandy buds. I’ll address them separately so that you won’t curse me afterward because the general method I shared didn’t work.

How Do I Reset Skullcandy Jib Wireless Earbuds?

Here’s how:

Step 1: Unpair the buds from whichever device you used them with the last time. Put a good mind to it. You may want to hit “forget them” on other devices you’ve used them with just to keep them from meddling with the reset process.

Step 2: Now you’ve to remove the buds from their case and hold the button in their center for about 5 seconds to power them off. You should know that’ll happen when the LED dies out.

Step 3: Wait for a few seconds after you’ve turned them off. Then, press the power button you pressed earlier to turn them on again. You should hold it for a good 10 seconds for the reset process to take place.

Step 4: Don’t forget to charge the buds by placing them in their case.

Step 5: After a good charge, pull them out, and let them turn on their own. They’ll be ready to pair now.

How Do I Reset Skullcandy Sesh Wireless Earbuds?

Sesh requires a different approach. You don’t have to pull out both earbuds to reset them. The left one is the holy grail or the control center of the whole gadget.

Step 1: Make sure to unpair the buds as I taught you in the previous steps.

Step 2: Pull out the left piece and press the power button at least 5 to 6 times or whenever the LED starts blinking red. The buds will power off afterward.

Step 3: When they’re turned off, put back the left piece in its place. After some time, take the pair out and let them turn on themselves. Voila! They’re reset and ready to pair.

How Do I Reset Skullcandy Push Wireless Earbuds?

There’s an MFB button on Push earbuds that lets you reset them.

Step 2: Take out both the buds from their case. Press the power button for about 5 to 6 seconds to let them die.

Step 3: Press the MFB button for an equal period of time or more. 10 seconds may suffice. Doing this will rewind all the settings back to the factory.

Step 4: Charge the buds and take them out again to do a fresh pairing.

Why Is My Right Skullcandy Earbud Not Working?

  1. Make sure that the earbud has no accumulation of dirt or gunk.
  2. Reset the earbud by following one of the methods taught above.

  4. See if the LED is flashing. If not, then there could be some mechanical damage.

Why Are My Skullcandy Headphones Not Pairing?

One of the good reasons for this is that they are already paired with an active Bluetooth device. Make sure that you turn off that device and forget the earbuds from the list of paired devices. Once you do that, then reset your headphones. When they turn on again, they’ll be in a fresh pairing mode. If the problem still persists, then there could be some mechanical damage.
